I was responsible for the design and layout of the lobby & guest rooms of this New York City branch of the Phillips Club Hotel. The concept of the hotel was to accommodate both over night as well as extended stay guests. As a result the program allowed for a more residential feel and functionality than a typical hotel. The look and feel of the hotel is sleek & stylish with a highly Miesian vocabulary. The materials palate of the lobby was narrowed to honed limestone with contrasting polished black granite & backlit onyx panels. The motivation inspiration was desire for light.
