This gut/rehab project remains on the drawing board due to changed priorities of the client. Located in the Soho section of Manhattan, this 3000 sq. ft. loft residence was designed as a grand entertainment space with secluded, private bedrooms. The client was looking for a darker, more intimate space than the original loft layout offered.
The introduction of floor to ceiling ebonized mahogany bookshelves running the entire perimeter of the main living area helped to create a clubby, library feel. The end of the living space was to be occupied with a custom bronze paneled fireplace. The private portions of the loft were to be a series of interconnected rooms, separated by blackened steel & wire glass sliding doors & partitions.
